Agent Eligibility & Benefits
I. POLICY
Agents whose law enforcement authority is suspended by the FEB are prohibited from exercising extra-jurisdictional authority.
Agents acting in a law enforcement capacity outside FEB’s jurisdiction must act in conformance with this agency’s rules and regulations.
II. EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS
Agents employed by the Comptroller of Maryland, when acting under lawful authority beyond the limits of the FEB jurisdictions, shall have all the pension, relief disability, worker’s compensation and other benefits enjoyed by them while performing their duties within the jurisdictional limits of the FEB.
When acting under the authority granted by this law, any police officer/agent shall have all the immunities from liability and exemptions as that of a State Police officer, in addition to any other immunities and exemptions to which the police officer/agent may otherwise be entitled.
