Accessibility Policy

Our Commitment

The Comptroller of Maryland is committed to ensuring accessibility of its www.marylandcomptroller.gov website to people with disabilities. The Agency has engaged an accessibility manager to oversee compliance and ongoing training efforts with creators to produce compliant web content. The remediation of older content is continuous and buttresses our imperative to meet required 508 goals. To the extent possible, we also provide accessible PDF versions of our major reports.

Conformance

• Per Department of Justice mandate, the Comptroller of Maryland is working to achieve 508 Compliance to WCAG 2.1 level AA in 2026.
• The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

The www.marylandcomptroller.gov site is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

• JAWs
• NVDA
• VoiceOver & Narrator screen readers
• Keyboard navigation

As standard protocol, www.marylandcomptroller.gov is not compatible with:

• Browsers older than three major versions
• Mobile operating systems older than five years

Limitations
