Prisoner Transportation
I. POLICY
It is the policy of the Field Enforcement Bureau (FEB) to transport prisoners with the highest regard for the safety of the public, the transporting agent, and the prisoner. Agents are responsible for the safety and security of any prisoners during transport, and they are also responsible for the search of any prisoners following arrest and prior to transport. The transporting officer is legally responsible for the safety and custody of the prisoner being transported.
