Equipment To Be In Division Vehicles At All Times

I. Required Vehicle Equipment

A. Unmarked police vehicles will be equipped with:

  • An emergency light, dash, visor, or window mount.
  • A siren.
  • A mobile radio transceiver.

B. In addition, unmarked police vehicles will be equipped with the following equipment:

  • Flashlight
  • Gas card (Exxon)
  • Pro-Kee (State Fueling Sites)
  • Vehicle maintenance card
  • Seat belts
  • Spare tire and jack
  • Accident report kit
  • Gun box

C. Sworn members are required to carry the following items in their vehicle or on their person (if certified to use):

  • Issued handgun
  • Handcuffs
  • Portable radio
  • Binoculars
  • Vest
  • Flex cuffs and cutter
  • OC spray
  • ASP Baton (if issued)
  • Badge and identification
  • Cellular phone
  • Raid jacket
  • Exxon credit card. (when you can’t get to a state fueling site)
  • Agent’s investigative cash advance
  • Reflective Vest
  • First Aid Bag

D. Inspectors are issued and shall carry in their vehicle:

  • Zeltex octane analyzer
  • Motor fuel sample cans
  • Gasoline can (fuel pump line flush)
  • Various funnels
  • Lined gauge tape
  • Water detection paste
  • Plum bob (measurement for inches of water)
  • Safety equipment (gloves, goggles, hard hat, coveralls, and a reflective vest)
  • Dyed fuel sampling equipment
  • Bottom load adaptor (if assigned)
  • Fuel sampling thieves (for fuel storage tanks)
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Inspectors investigative cash advance
  • Exxon credit card. (When you can’t get to a state fueling site)
  • Cellular phone
  • Binoculars
  • Crowbar
  • First aid bag
  • Portable two-way radio
  • Inspectors badge and identification credentials
